Charlie Coyle (South Shore Kings) |
Boston, MA- The Eastern Junior Hockey League congratulates South Shore Kings forward Charlie Coyle for being named to the Team USA roster for the upcoming Under-18 Four Nations Cup in Pori, Finland.
The Four Nations Cup will be the second international tournament for Coyle, who skated for the Under-18 Select Team at last summers Memorial of Ivan Hlinka Tournament in Slovakia. During that tournament, Coyle netted two goals for Team USA.
This will be a great experience for him, commented Kings head coach Scott Harlow. Its a tremendous opportunity to show his ability against international competition and we wish him all the best.
Coyle, a native of East Weymouth, MA, recently appeared on the NHL Central Scouting Bureaus Players to Watch list for the 2010 NHL Entry Draft, noted as a prospect likely to be selected in the first three rounds. The Boston University recruit is currently second on the Kings and third in the league with 27 points and leads the league with 21 assists.
The U.S. National Under-18 Team will meet teams from Finland, Sweden and Switzerland during the round-robin tournament. Team USA will take on Finland in a pre-tournament contest Wednesday at 11:30 a.m. EST.
Congratulations to Charlie Coyle and the South Shore Kings!
