OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK
Rob Dongara (Jersey Hitmen)
Rob, a Northeastern recruit, had a true breakout weekend. In a sweep of Springfield, Dongara lit the lamp 4 times, including the game-winner en route to a hat trick on Friday, and added two assists. He then came back on Monday and netted the game-winner against the Junior Bruins. Rob is currently tied for the team lead in goals (7) and game-winners (2.) The Scituate, MA, native reports to St. Botolph St. in the fall of 2010.

Ryan Benitez (New York Apple Core)
Ryan, a 1990 birth year, is currently leading the EJHL in GAA (1.88) & Save % (.951). The Denver, CO, native is also a phenomenal student who boasts a 4.05 GPA, 2150 SAT and 33 ACT. This past weekend he made 42 saves in Apple Core's 9-1 victory over the CD Selects. Due to his strong play and impressive academic background, Benitez is proving to be one of the most highly sought after players in the league.

Trent Ruffolo (New Hampshire Junior Monarchs)
In the teams first weekend back after a week of no games, Trent came out flying with four goals and one assist, to help the Monarchs to a weekend sweep of the Valley Junior Warriors and the previously undefeated South Shore Junior Kings. In Sundays game, a huge one between two first place teams, Trent would play hero not once, but twice, as he would score both the game-tying and go-ahead goals in the Monarchs thrilling 5-3 victory over South Shore. A 92 who played in Florida last year for the Panthers Alliance midget club, Trent is committed to Yale University for 2011. He is the son of Kelly and John Ruffolo of Coral Springs, FL.
