Whitfield Academy is delighted to spread the word that Jane Hermer was named to the USA Hockey Women's Olympic Team. Hermer is a 2008 graduate of Whitfield Academy. She is a native of Huntington, Massachusetts.
Jane's play in net this season has been nothing short of phenomenal. She earned the starting spot in November on the Boston College Eagles and has not looked back since. During the week of February 21st, Jane boasted a .943 SV%, and allowed only 4 goals in 3 games. Perhaps his most memorable moment of the week was stopping Hockey East returning Player of the Year Lindsay Hiorit on a point blank breakaway.
