First period: BBD started out very tentative, having been burned by previous Shelton teams when they get overly aggressive. Shelton coming out strong but changing rapidly, as they have only 10 skaters to BBD's twenty....hoping for a few quick goals, then play tough defense? BBD had the better of play but not enough shots, even with a 6-2 adavantage. BBD scored first, two thirds of the way in and then another with 1:30 left. Starting BBD Goalie Luis Dibble only had to stop two shots and had one man down situation.

Second period:  BBD started Dibble was replaced with sophmore Andrew Gillotti, making his first varsity start. BBD came out skating, trying to put the game away and keep Shelton off the board. BBD got their first PP opportunity early in the second but Shelton's goalie came up BIG, stopping a point blank screamer by Josh Goldenberg. The only problem? It wasn't the end of the game and BBD put in three goals to chase the Shelton starter from the nets at 8:06. Shelton scored their only goal late in the second on a very nice drag across the goal and upper corner bullet, which caught the BBD defense sleeping and hung goalie Gillotti out to dry!

Third period: started much the same for BBD as the second, but by this time Shelton was slowly starting to tire and it showed as they kept taking more "clutch and grab" penalties. BBD scored four times, had a 12 -2 shot advantage and there were 5 Shelton penalties.

Totals:  BBD - SA (9)  SF (27)   GA (1)  GF (9).....goalies Dibble and Gillotti share the win.
